ROSEMARY BAKER - DIRECTOR
"Miss Rose" is the proud owner of Dance Gallery and was the previous assistant director of Mary Linick Dance Studio. Dance Gallery is now entering into its 20th year. "Miss Rose" has studied and taught all forms of dance. She is a member of DANCE EDUCATORS OF AMERICA, and formerly a member of DANCE MASTERS OF AMERICA and FLORIDA DANCE MASTERS. Many of her students have competed in national talent competitions and have earned top awards as well as gone on to have danced professionally in Broadway's West Side Story, Spamalot, Women on a Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Radio City's Christmas Spectacular, danced with Beyonce,and are in professional dance companies. Her student, Jimmy Arquello, was in the top 20 of So You Think You Can Dance Season 3. She has been teaching since the age of 18 and has taught several master classes in the elementary and middle schools. She is also a member of DADE PARTNERS. Her enthusiasm and encouragement motivates her students to reach their full artistic potential.
KRISTY BAKER – ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
"Miss Kristy" is “Miss Roses'" daughter who has been dancing since the age of three. She has trained at Mary Linick Dance Studio, now Dance Gallery and has also studied with Henry LeTang, Debbi Dee, Judy Bassing, Katherine Krammer, Jared Grimes, Mike Schulster, Peter Schabel, Brice Mousset, Chio, Eric Jenkins, Miss Vee, Raye Young and Scott Benson. She is trained in all forms of dance. She has danced in a music video for Miss Dee Records, Super Bowl Half Time Show, Dan Marino's Retirement Halftime Show, and has also demonstrated for several instructional dance videos. She graduated from Florida International University and received a Bachelors degree in Dance Education. “Miss Kristy” was a judge for the Fitness Universe Pageant that was televised by ESPN. She currently judges for National Dance Competitions and teaches master classes at conventions. She went to New York City for an internship at Broadway Dance Center. In NY, "Miss Kristy" appeared in the off Broadway show, “Break The Floor”. She also travels with Miss Judy Bassing, to assist her in demonstrating techniques at seminars for dance teachers. During the summer months, "Miss Kristy" enjoys traveling to back New York to take classes at Broadway Dance Center.
Vocalist, pianist and composer Ben Beal, is from Westwood MA. He has had the honor of performing with Tyshawn Sorey, Sheila Jordan, Matt Wilson, Alex Sipiagin, Lauren Sevian, and many more. He has studied with Karrin Allyson, Janis Siegel, Catherine Jensen-Hole, James Argiro, Tom Giampietro, and more. He was the recipient of the 2016 Fletcher Henderson Award for Outstanding Student Achievement. He plays in a funk group as regulars on the Western MA music scene, and have headlined Extravaganja 3 years in a row. He has performed in such venues as Smalls, the Provincetown Playhouse (NYC), the Middle East, Massachusetts State House, and many more. Ben is proud to have received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Jazz from UMass Amherst in 2016, and will be pursuing a Master's Degree in Vocal Jazz from the University of Miami. Welcome Mr. Ben.
MS. Alex is already making her mark in the jazz community and has a keen attention to lyrical expression, and playful improvisational style to captivate audiences large and small. She brings a refreshing modern twist to jazz standards, and in turn sings pop and musical theater with a jazz-influenced sheen. She studied with Matt Harris, Tom Connell and Tierney Sutton. She performed in various groups directed by educators such as Christine Guter and John Daversa. Alex has shared the stage with jazz luminaries including Ira Nepus, Dena DeRose, Karl Hunter, Mike Fortunato, Willie Murillo, and Becky Martin. Recently, she appeared in the Stanford Jazz Festival's "Celebrating the Ella Fitzgerald Songbook" concert, where she sang alongside Kenny Washington, Bobbe Norris, and an all-star quartet led by pianist Larry Dunlap. Alex attends the University of Miami's Frost School of Music on full scholarship, studying in the jazz vocal program. Please welcome Ms. Alex to our studio.
Ms. Ismelly was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She has an intensive dance career with over 20 years experience, teaching ballet techniques and choreography. She was dancing as Soloist in her country and also at Ballet Concerto Company of Miami, and the Cuban Classical Ballet Company Of Miami. Her repertory ranges from romántic classical ballet to contemporary and lyrical. Throughout her dancing career, she has intérpreted: "Muñecos"from Alberto Méndez, "Nutcracker", "Sleeping Beauty", " Black Swan PDD "," Don Quixote"," Giselle"," Paquita PDD"," Carmen ballet" "Blue Bird PDD", " Por la Danza"," P D'Trois Swan Lake Ballet ","Mozart No 21 / 2nd Movement" "Tango", "Elements" and " A Tríos ". She has participated in the ballet Gala, Festivals and Competition in Puerto Rico, Cuba, México, Pettion Village (Haití), Perú and USA. We welcome her experience to our studio.
Ms. Erin began her dance career at the age of 3. She has studied at the Royal Institute of Ballet, Dance Conservatory of NY, Royal Conservatory of Madrid as well as the Peabody Institute in Baltimore. She has been a principal dancer in such performances as Don quixote, Nutcracker ande Swan Lake. Welcome back Ms. Erin.
We are very happy to
welcome back "Miss Sonia" to our ballet program. She studied both
performing and teaching of dance at the London College of Dance in England
where she graduated as a teacher of dance in ballet, modern, national folk and
elementary tap. She then performed on board "Costa" and "Carnival"
cruise ships and later moved to
Ms. Loliette began her professional career in dance at the young age of 10. First attending a ballet focused elementary school named Alego Carpentier for 5 years. In 2007 she took part in ENA National School of Ballet, the highest form of professional dance education in Cuba. Here she learned about ballet, contemporary, folklore and the history/ methodology of dance. In 2012 she graduated from ENA as a classic ballet instructor with a perfect state test score. She was a classic ballet teacher at Pro Danza and also has taught ballet conditioning and technique. Welcome Ms. Loliette to our staff.
Mr. James is an award-winning guitarist and pianist,who graduated cum laude from Berklee College of Music. He is excited to be in Miami, having just moved here from California. With a philosophy of “Teach students what they want, while instilling the fundamentals they need”, he has been an in-demand music teacher for many years. He strives to uphold a high standard of excellence, while keeping lessons rewarding and fun. James has taught students of all ages and ability levels, specializing in beginner to intermediate instruction. His friendly manner and patient explanations help students achieve their musical potential in a relaxed atmosphere. His other philosophy is “You can do it!” When not teaching, James is an active performer, composer, and songwriter. Welcome Mr. James to our studio.

Edwin is a well known dance instructor He is a member and master teacher of Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America. His unique style and intense energy is extremely exciting and his classes are enjoyed by students of all ages. We are very lucky and look forward to working with Edwin again.
JUDY ANN BASSING
We are very lucky to continue to have "Miss Judy" as one of our Master guest teachers. She is a well-known international teacher and choreographer. "Miss Judy" is a world traveler and has choreographed and taught master classes in France, Spain, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Scotland, Slovenia and Germany as well as numerous major dance organizations in the United States. "Miss Judy" has been a Jazz and Tap guest artist for the Joffrey Ballet School, Tap, Jazz and Acrobatics artist for Jo Jo's Dance Factory and has been a faculty member for Hines and Hatchett Performing Arts Center in New York City to name a few. Many of "Miss Judy's" students are performing on Broadway and in the national tours of major musical productions. She has received "The San Diego Circle Critics Award" for "Best Musical Choreography for the Lawrence Welk Theatre's production of Sugar and is the recipient of six Los Angeles Drama Logue awards for Director/Choreographer. Welcome back "Miss Judy".
Kameron has an extensive background in the dance world. He has appeared on SYTYCD as a top ten finalist, Latin Grammy Tribute Awards, Premios Juventud, and other Univision programs, including music videos for “Me Equivoque” and "Lets Party”. He has toured with “Rock the Ballet” in Europe and in Australia and also with SYTYCD. On stage, he has danced for Larry Kegwien and Rasta Thomas. His teaching skills took him to Australia teaching in Sidney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and in Capetown, Africa. He has also taught at the American Dance Project Convention. His training includes acrobatics, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary and Hip Hop, giving him a well rounded background in dance.
Debbi" has earned the honor of being referred to as a "teacher's
teacher." A Master tap technician and exciting stylist, her tap technique
and choreography is known worldwide. She has appeared on teaching platforms for
every major American dance organization and has extended her influence
internationally as a guest teacher in
We try to give our students as many opportunities as possible to dance with guest teachers and choreographers. We have been lucky to have such teachers as Flow 40, David Mann, Jason Samuel Smith, AJ Russo, and Curtis Holland and look forward to working with them in the future.
